Production History

Marian and Elizabeth have worked separately in the industry for over 18 years in various crew positions. In the last 8 years they have worked together producing five short films and two music videos, three of which are award winners.  They have just completed a year and half run on the film festival circuit with their award winning HD film Blue Suede Wings, where it played in 16 film festivals.  (please see list of all BSW’s accomplishment here.) They are a hard working team that is constantly evolving, who work well together and are knowledgeable about the process of making a film. They won’t stop until the job is finished.

Filmmaker's Bios

Marian Yeager (writer / director / producer) Marian has worked in the film industry for 18 years. She started in the art department as an intern and has worked as a production assistant, a set dresser, a producer, and a script supervisor.  For the last 10 years Marian has written, directed, and produced 8 short films. Her most recent film, Blue Suede Wings, was the most challenging film thus far. Working with a child actor for the first time and a fairly large crew put Marian to the test. In the end, Blue Suede Wings has been Marian’s most successful film, receiving a Silver Remi award from Worldfest Houston and Best Coming of Age film at the Beverly Hills Shorts Festival as well as screening at 16 film festivals.  Recently, Marian began teaching a basic directing class for the University of Texas’ informal classes.

Elizabeth Yeager (producer / writer) Elizabeth holds a B.S from Texas Christian University and an M.F.A. from Texas Tech University.  After graduation from Texas Tech in 1994, she started working in the film industry. Her very first production, 8 Seconds, an unusually large project for a first timer, was so inspiring she moved to Austin, Texas and became active in the growing film and video industry. She has been on both large and small productions. She’s worked in the production offices as a production assistant as well as on set in the Art Department, the Props Department, and the Camera Department. Currently, Elizabeth works in the Camera Department as the On-Set Still Photographer. Elizabeth began co-producing with Marian in 2000. She has been instrumental in getting many of MY Productions shorts into production. Blue Suede Wings was co-written and co-produced by Elizabeth.
